Part-Time Hospitalist “SNFist” – Post-Acute Care, North Shore

Essex Inpatient Physicians (EIP) has an opening for a board certified or eligible physician to work part-time rounding at two post-acute care facilities on the MA North Shore. There is additional potential for full-time and/or corporate MD/DO administrative duties, as well.

About the position:
We offer a highly flexible work schedule. Minimal obligation would require rounding approximately 16 hours per week. Rounding days are highly flexible, and could be designed for 2, 3, 4 or 5 days per week. This opportunity is part-time, caring for acute rehabilitation and recovering patients in a post-acute care and long-term care settings. There is the option to grow this position to full-time if desired. The selected candidate will be a team player with ties to, or interest in the North Shore and be flexible in splitting time between two facilities, located just minutes apart.

• Possess strong clinical skills and demonstrate competency in providing comprehensive health care including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment
• Flexibility and enjoy working both autonomously and in a team
• Proven skills, knowledge base, and judgment necessary for independent clinical decision making
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Night and weekend call shared equitably from home
• Ability to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to type adequately for maximal use of the group EHR
